The hardest part of any exercise routine is getting started. Remember, if you haven’t exercised in some time, start off slowly with an activity you enjoy. Begin by exercising 3 minutes a day and then gradually increase to 15-30 minutes a day.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Take a walk for 5-10 minutes around your house.
- While lying down gently stretch your arms above your head and stretch your legs out as far as you can. Hold each stretch 15-30 seconds.
- Pop in your favorite tune and do a little dance around your living room.
- Dancing and stretching can improve muscle strength, balance, and endurance.
