Agape Home Health and Hospice have once again partnered with the BLAST to provide the most spectacular fireworks & lights show featured in the Metroplex on Labor Day weekend. Berean BLAST began as a simple effort to give back to the community we call home. It is amazing to see how the event has grown over the last 11 years,” says Ken Case, Worship Pastor and Event Coordinator for Berean Baptist Church“. With the help of Agape Home Healthcare and local businesses, the event has expanded to include bounce houses & a magic show featuring “Topper the Magic Clown” to benefit Sharing Life Community Outreach, & local food & merchandise vendors to feed & entertain the audience. Each year the event features a Tribute & honor guard to commemorate the memory of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice serving our country. This is a special time when we as a community can come together & appreciate the freedoms we all enjoy & the lives that have made them possible. As always the event climaxes with a spectacular fireworks & light show provided by Extreme Pyrotechnics, FOHShow Lighting & America Sound Productions. The show begins at 9:25 pm. Once again, the BLAST will include a food and clothing drive to benefit Sharing Life Community Outreach of Mesquite. This agency provides a range of services to those in economic need, including food, clothing, & household items; financial assistance with housing and utilities; literacy and computer training; & Bible based programs addressing addiction. With a commitment to better our community Berean BLAST encourages your support for Sharing Life. The staff at Agape would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and an marvelous 2017. Check on all your loved ones, and remember our motto: Love Never Fails!
Agape Home Health and Hospice were glad to join the city of Mesquite to dedicate Mesquite Freedom Park on Sunday, September 11, 2016. We remember those who lost their lives and the brave men and women who put their lives in harm's way to save others. God Bless America! Comments from Mayor Stan Pickett of the City of Mesquite, TXOn September 11, 2001, the world joined the United States of America as our country watched in shock as the nation’s ideals and freedoms were attacked. In 2011, the Mesquite Fire Department was entrusted with a historic piece of steel from one of the Twin Towers destroyed on 9/11. The 15-foot long, 575-pound twisted beam is the centerpiece of Mesquite Freedom Park. With the support of the local community, the City of Mesquite created this outdoor place of gathering, reflection and celebration of freedom on the North Lawn of the Mesquite Arts Center, 1527 N. Galloway Avenue. A park dedication ceremony was held on September 11, 2016 as our country marked the 15th anniversary of 9/11. Find out more at www.cityofmesquite.com/1611/Mesquite-Freedom-Park

Long-term care insurance is an insurance policy you can buy to protect you financially in case you need to go into a nursing home or have regular nursing care. Long-term care insurance will cover all or some of the (often exorbitant) costs of care. Unlike traditional health insurance, long-term care insurance is designed to cover long-term services and supports, including personal and custodial care in a variety of settings such as your home, a community organization, or other facility. Long-term care insurance policies reimburse policyholders a daily amount (up to a pre-selected limit) for services to assist them with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, or eating. You can select a range of care options and benefits that allow you to get the services you need, where you need them. The cost of your long-term care policy is based on:
Something to keep in mindMany long-term care insurance policies have limits on how long or how much they will pay. Some policies will pay the costs of your long-term care for two to five years, while other insurance companies offer policies that will pay your long-term care costs for as long as you live—no matter how much it costs. But there are very few that have no such limits. "Does Agape offer a Long Term Care Policy?"Agape Home Healthcare is a home health agency and does not provide insurance policies. A healthcare insurance provider may be able to help you find a long term care policy that fits your needs. "Can I receive Home Health services without paying for a Long Term Care insurance plan?"At Agape, we do our best to help each potential client get the proper care that they need. Depending on your circumstances, you may qualify for home health services under a Texas state funded program like Primary Home Care, Community Based Alternatives, or others which can cover the costs associated with home care. Please call our office for a free consultation. "What if I don't qualify for services under a state funded program, and I don't have a Long Term Care insurance policy? Can I still receive home Health care services?"Our Private Pay program offers any of our home health care services at the client's personal expense. This means that the client agrees to pay for services "out-of-pocket."
